The first annual Closer Electronic Music Festival kicks off this weekend in Portland, OR. Aimed at showcasing the best and brightest of the thriving local scene, this festival is techno-centric and stacked with talent. Highlights include Bryan Zentz, Jerry Abstract, Let’s Go Outside, George Holland, Jak (festival curator) The Perfect Cyn, 31avas, alongside many more.

Closer will be spread out amongst four venues in the city’s downtown core over three days (Thursday-Saturday night) and will also feature a park party during the day on Saturday. To top it off, you’re getting all this action for a mere 15 bucks! (if you buy a presale). I’ll be heading down with a crew of Seattle folks on Friday and look forward to checking out what our neighbors to the south have in store.
